Channel Catalina

Welcome to the Channel Catalina website!

Channel Catalina is a video production company based in Avalon, California, that produces a number of information and entertainment-oriented documentaries, guides, commercials and promotionals with the goal of sharing this incredible Island with the rest of America and the World.

Each Channel Catalina project is classified under one of the following three headings:

Catalina Quest.  A series of guides which will offer Islanders and Visitors alike the information needed to enjoy the outdoor activities, nightlife and the vibrant music scene found on the Island.

The Story of Catalina.  This series of documentaries will showcase the remarkable history of the Isle of Romance and its role in the history of Southern California and even the world. Current projects include Wings Across the Channel, a six-part series documenting the fascinating history of Aviation on Catalina.

Mysterious Island.  There are more legends and mysteries on the Island of Santa Catalina than dreamt of in your philosophy, Horatio. From sunken Spanish Galleons and lost treasures that were buried long ago (by individuals long since buried themselves!), to spine-tingling tales of ghosts and other-worldly portals, not to mention an inordinate number of UFO and USO sightings.  Current projects include The Ghosts of Avalon and Quantum Catalina.

We are also developing a program named Frame-by-Frame whose goal is to locate, digitize and preserve as much old film footage of Catalina as we can find before it perishes completely.
