Who are the Ghosts of Avalon?
The Ghosts of Avalon are like the spirits of the Dear Departed anywhere. They are people, just like you and I.
There was a time when they graced the same earthly plane as do we, many of them even at a time when we were here in our early years. Some of them we may have even known. Others, most perhaps, lived and died long before we were ever born.
They lived and loved like we do. They basked in the summer sun and swam in the summer seas. They dined and they danced and they kissed under the same moon and stars that we do today.
But long ago, on a sorrowful, inevitible day, a day of shock and a day of tragedy for their loved ones (most of whom have passed on themselves) their life force was driven from their bodies, and their bodies were consigned to the cold, hard ground or the icy depths beneath the majestic waves where flesh and bone are now and forever stilled.
But many are still here; their spirits still walk among us, these so-called Dead. For whatever reason, by fate or by design, they just can’t seem to "give up the ghost!"
They marvel at our technology. They wonder about our modern-day food and drink. They bristle at our music and our morals. But most of all, they silently lament that they cannot be with us. They know in their un-beating hearts that they cannot ever be one of us again.
For whatever reason, by fate or by design, they remain, The Ghosts of Avalon.
